AV Project Engineers are an integral part of the SCI Team and have a significant role in the design of installed AV systems. SCI provides AV systems for many verticals including education (Higher Ed), health care facilities, corporate, arenas, entertainment, and house of worship. Typical AV systems include classrooms, boardrooms, meeting and training rooms, as well as video conferencing, paging, sound reinforcement, and video presentation systems. The AV Project Engineer is responsible for Designing the Systems, Preparing AV System Drawings, Programming DSP, Designing AV Control Systems, Meeting with Clients, Inspecting, testing, and Working at Sites, and Working Along Project Team to Complete Project Closeout. Every AV Project Engineer is expected to approach all projects with an emphasis in safety, quality design, installation, and service.

The job duties and responsibilities of the AV Project Engineer include the following:

·Experience designing AV Systems for Commercial applications

·Ability to work in a team environment to provide support during Pre and Post sales efforts

·Experience with AutoCAD and drafting practices including the creation of advanced system schematics

·Develop engineering and architectural (RCP/Floor Plan) drawings, calculations, acoustical modeling

·Experience designing AV control systems (Crestron/QSC/Extron)

·Experience designing and programming DSP systems (QSC/Biamp)

·Knowledge of commissioning AV control systems (prior experience a plus)

·Complete understanding of AV networking standards and ability to diagnose & troubleshoot (NVX/Q-LAN/Dante/AES67)

·Review SOW for both the customer and in-house team for each project

·Provide Quick Reference Guides for control systems

·Ability to work and think independently and ensure deadlines are met

·Effective Communication and interaction with employees, clients, and colleagues

·Proficiency in Microsoft Teams and Zoom
